Complete solution: Interactive showroom
Features
- Multitouch table: Customisable in terms of size, design and computing power. Depending on the application, we can add object recognition, people detection and LED lighting.
- Screenwall:Sized to suit the room, viewing distance and group size. Content can be controlled from the table and projected onto the wall for group presentations.
- Customised software: product ranges, 3D models, maps, timelines and other features are combined to create a clear and easy-to-understand presentation application.
- Content Management System: Your team maintains the agreed content types within a structure tailored to the project. Design guidelines and pre-prepared layouts help to ensure a consistent presentation.
- Lighting and sound: Depending on the concept, carefully coordinated scenes and effects either accompany the presentation or help visitors find their way around the space.
One possible configuration consists of a 55-inch UHD multi-touch table and a screen wall approximately three metres wide with a resolution of 5,760 × 2,160 pixels. These specifications describe an example setup. We determine the specific configuration based on your room, your content and your intended use.
Technical details
1. Efficiency through experience
Our experience gained from numerous interactive exhibitions streamlines the planning process and helps to avoid common pitfalls at an early stage. A dedicated project manager coordinates all parties involved and acts as your central point of contact throughout the entire implementation process.
2. Concept and technical planning
In a joint workshop, we define target groups, content, functions and business objectives. This results in a coordinated concept covering interior design, technical planning, a timetable and a budget.
3. Customised software
Our tried-and-tested software library forms the basis for your application. Proven features such as media maps, map views, timelines and 3D visualisations are combined as appropriate. We develop the user interface, interaction flows and necessary interfaces for your project in Unity 3D.
In this way, we draw on our experience from existing installations whilst also implementing the features required for your content. You can find examples on our multitouch software page.
4. Content management
The web-based CMS is tailored to your content and workflows. This allows you to easily update text, images and videos and manage them from any location.
5. User Interface and Media Design
We design an intuitive user interface and adapt existing media for interactive presentation. Where required, we develop additional visualisations, animations and content.
6. Interactive hardware
Multitouch tables, screen walls and lighting, audio and sensor technology are configured to suit the room and networked together. In doing so, we invest specifically where technology creates tangible added value and avoid unnecessary hardware costs.
How to run your showroom
Preparing for the visit
Your team keeps the planned content up to date via the CMS. We set out in the concept which topics, languages or presentation scenarios can be prepared. Content management and room control fulfil different roles in this process.
To lead the presentation
Depending on the setup, your team will start the presentation at the multi-touch table or via a tablet control panel. They will select topics, open details and display content on the screen wall. Pre-set scenes can trigger appropriate lighting and audio settings. The operation is tailored to the schedule of your client appointments.
Enabling guests to go their own way
To encourage free exploration, we provide clear entry points and immediate feedback. Visitors can choose and explore topics in greater depth at their own pace. Sensors can activate the application when a visitor approaches; a guided group presentation can be operated in a different way.
Keep the app up to date
Your team can make changes to the approved content fields themselves. We will work with you to plan new interactions, additional data sources or further stages as extensions. Training and the agreed scope of service will support operations following handover.
In the Telekom Experience Showroom, Garamantis combines a table, screen wall, lighting, audio and central control system. Content can be updated and presentations prepared via the CMS. At the Daikin Chemical Europe Innovation Centre, the permanent showroom and a mobile exhibition stand utilise content from a shared CMS.
Further information
Budget, timetable and scope of work
For a setup comprising a multi-touch table, a screen wall, bespoke software, a CMS, and lighting and audio equipment, you should generally allow four to six months and around 150,000 euros for the interactive components. This serves as a guide for this type of setup. The size of the room, media production, interfaces and the required functions will all influence the actual cost.
In the quotation, we set out which services are included: from concept development and technical planning, through to software, media and hardware, right through to installation, testing and training. We define the scope of structural work, additional equipment, content provided by you and ongoing operational services on a project-by-project basis. We take into account any work carried out in-house by your company when drawing up the plan.
For more extensive interactive spaces featuring additional stations, projections or VR applications, you will find further options and case studies on our Corporate Showrooms page.
A quick guide: From ‘how’ to ‘wow’. Here’s how!
- Consultation:We’ll discuss your objectives and requirements via video conference and present suitable, customisable solutions. This initial consultation is free of charge and without obligation.
- Quotation: You will receive a detailed quotation setting out a binding timeframe and budget.
- Detailed design: We develop the spatial and media concept, including renderings, technical planning and all the necessary implementation steps.
- Implementation: Content is integrated into the web-based CMS at an early stage. We keep you continuously updated on the design and software development and consult with you on interim results.
- Installation and handover: We deliver, install and test the equipment on site. Once you have received training and the system has been signed off, you will be able to run the showroom and its contents independently.
Multitouch scanner table
Accessible from all sides, the multi-touch table is ideal as the central hub of your showroom. Visitors can journey through your company’s history on an interactive timeline, explore project locations on the globe or discover your product portfolio in a playful way within an impressive 3D environment. For presentations to larger groups, simply swipe the content onto the screen wall with a single hand gesture.
Screen Wall
Your content will really come into its own when it’s displayed on this screen wall with high brightness and ultra-high resolution.
Multitouch software
Open the content that is most relevant to the conversation at that moment: product details, 3D models, projects or the company’s history. The bespoke software combines free exploration with pre-prepared presentations and the control of other media in the room.
Immersive AV technology
Thousands of individually controllable high-performance LEDs come together to form an impressive, interactive lighting system. But it’s not just your guests’ eyes that will be captivated – their ears will be too, thanks to the dynamic surround sound.
Occupancy sensor
Appropriate sensor technology detects people within the designated area and can trigger greetings, content or effects. The laser-based environmental detection on multi-touch screens is described in the Garamantis patent specification DE102018124452B4. We tailor the sensor position, detection range and responses to the specific setup.
